Shri Vishnu Namboothiri embarked on his entrepreneurial journey in 1968, laying the foundation for what would eventually culminate in the launch of Brahmins in 1987, marking a significant milestone

1987 – Shri Vishnu Namboothiri – Chronicles of Dedication

The inception of Brahmins Foods is deeply rooted in the determined journey of its founder, Shri Vishnu Namboothiri. From a modest beginning, he embarked on a challenging path that would lead to the establishment of Brahmins Foods. In 1987, he initiated operations from a small unit adjacent to his residence, overseeing a team of 2 female staff. Undeterred by the scale of the venture, he dedicatedly distributed the packed products, initially navigating the streets of Thodupuzha town on a bicycle. As the enterprise grew, so did its means of distribution, he upgraded to a scooter and eventually incorporating delivery vans into the logistics.

Shri Vishnu Namboothiri's unwavering Commitment, resolute willpower, and relentless hard work propelled Brahmins Foods forward, ensuring that he never had to look back. Over time, Brahmins Foods transcended geographical boundaries, becoming a coveted choice for consumers not only in India but also in various parts of the world. The journey from a small unit adjacent to his house to a globally recognized brand is a testament to his indomitable spirit and the enduring success story of Brahmins Foods.

At the heart of Brahmins ethos lies its steadfast commitment encapsulated in the motto, "A Vegetarian Promise”. The brand's distinction is derived from a meticulous process that involves the careful selection of raw materials, adherence to stringent manufacturing quality standards, and the integration of fully mechanized production. 1996 - The Revival of SREE VISHNU Pickles

The story of SREE VISHNU Pickles is deeply intertwined with the entrepreneurial spirit and vision of Mr. V. Vishnu Namboothiri. Our Founder, passionately prepared Pickles in his home in small quantities and individually shared them among his Family members, relatives, and neighbours. These moments were considered as divine and auspicious occasions that lightened the dear ones and showcased the reflection of Kerala’s Culinary Traditions. The authenticity of flavours, dedication towards serving, and heartfelt gestures earned him widespread admiration.

In 1996, Mr. Vishnu Namboothiri decided it was time to bring back those flavours that loved ones adored. Thus, the brand SREE VISHNU was reborn under SRI VISHNU PICKLES, reintroducing the same beloved flavours to the market. Launched with great care to retain the traditional essence, SREE VISHNU Pickles quickly became a household name, symbolizing quality, authenticity, and nostalgia. Consumers who once cherished the homemade pickles welcomed this revival wholeheartedly, eager to rediscover their old favourites. This move embraced another milestone for the Vishnu Namboothiri Group, strengthening its reputation as a leader in the food industry.

He introduced the SREE VISHNU PICLKES and ventured into the local market, authenticating taste to consumers and steadily building trust and gained widespread acceptance, as consumers fell in love with the genuine, mouthwatering flavours.


2006 - Brahmins on the Global Stage
In 2006, Mr. Sreenath Vishnu, the son of our esteemed founder, Vishnu Namboothiri, assumed the role of Executive Director. With a strategic mindset and a keen ability to adapt to market trends, he has played a pivotal role in propelling our company to remarkable success in the marketplace.

Adding another layer of expertise to our leadership team, Archana Sreenath joined forces with Sreenath Vishnu as the company's Operations Director. Her role is instrumental in streamlining the operations of our organization, ensuring efficiency and excellence in every aspect.

Together, Sreenath Vishnu and Archana Sreenath have been instrumental in steering Brahmins Foods towards continued success in the global culinary landscape. Their collaborative efforts and visionary leadership have been key drivers behind our ongoing achievements.

2007 - The Start of Global Expansion
Brahmins Foods began its export journey in 2007 with the United Kingdom as its first international market. This marked the beginning of a new era, with the brand eventually expanding across the Middle East, Europe, the United States, Canada, Australia, Singapore, and other global regions-bringing the authentic taste of South India to consumers worldwide.

2023 - Brahmins and Wipro Acquisition
In April 2023, Wipro Consumer Care and Lighting acquired Brahmins, signalling their entry into the packaged foods segment. This strategic move prompted Brahmins- Vishnu Namboothiri Group to seize the opportunity for optimization and restructuring. As a result, the group is now reinventing itself into three specialized companies, aligning with the evolving dynamics of the packaged food industry. This transformative step positions Vishnu Namboothiri Group for sustained growth and success in collaboration with Wipro Consumer Care and Lighting, maintaining the legacy of quality and trust that customers associate with the brand.
Today- Our Legacy Continues:

Our Legacy is carried forward with the launch of the Vishnu Bhavan range of frozen foods – upholding the same commitment to excellence that has defined the group since its inception. In a short span of time, the brand has successfully established itself in multiple countries, bringing the authentic taste of Kerala to our customers worldwide. Vishnu Bhavan products are now enjoyed in several major countries, including the United Kingdom (UK), the United States of America (USA), Australia, Canada, and New Zealand.
